Somni Smp is a primarily vanilla-based survival server, made by the players for the players, dedicated to creating a unique and fun experience for everyone!

Founded by Savvy and Neb, Somni SMP was built from a shared dream to create a better Minecraft community. Savvy handles Discord, web design, and digital details, while Neb does spawn work, codes, and manages commands. Alongside them, Miso shapes spawn designs and tags; and Kori works on coding behind the scenes for our plugins!

Somni SMP began when Neb and I met on another Minecraft server. After spending months there, we started to notice how unfair and biased things were. Eventually, the server we were playing on became boring, all we could see was the corruption. We decided to take a short hiatus before trying to find other servers to play on. The only problem was that most were either overly modded or had the same issues with unfairness and bias.

One night, after spending hours searching for new servers, we started talking on the phone about what kind of server we truly wanted to play on. As we talked, we began imagining what our ideal server would be like. Our imagination ran wild as we spent hours discussing every little detail. A server that welcomed both Java and Bedrock users, a non-seasonal smp, a community that related to losing sleep while socializing on Minecraft, and a friendly environment that was always welcoming in chat. The more we talked, the more our “what if we made our own server?” slowly turned into “why don’t we?” That’s when we realized our vision was too good to leave as just an idea.

We never planned or even intended to become server owners; we simply wanted a place to play Minecraft, meet new people, and share the game with others. That’s how Somni Smp was born, a server built on the values we wished we’d found elsewhere.
